The Triballe Journal

The real story of Triballe: where the name comes from and what it means

Where the name Triballe came from and what working with natural stones represents for us.

01

Triballe was born in 2019, from the idea of pieces with tribal character, designs with a tribal aesthetic, worked in natural stone, meant to last longer than a seasonal trend. The name joins that tribal root with the idea of a piece that accompanies you, not just decorates.

02

From the beginning, the decision was to work with natural stones and not imitations, which means accepting that every piece will have its own variations in color and texture, instead of offering a perfectly uniform product like what you get with synthetic materials. Over the years the catalog kept changing, new stones, new designs, but that underlying principle has stayed the same to this day.

03

What hasn't changed:

The principle of not inventing meanings or promising effects a stone can't deliver has stayed the same since the start: we repeat it on every guide on the site: we don't attribute powers or therapeutic effects to any stone. Choosing a stone for what it represents is a personal decision, not a promise we make.

04

What we do aim to offer:

Handmade pieces, with real natural stones, curated before they're published, and the honesty to say when something, like the exact color of a stone, can't be promised with precision. That's the idea behind Triballe, beyond the name.

A read worth saving.
